The Theater Experience

GMVS aims to graduate well-rounded student-athletes with the skills and tools to pursue academics, athletics, future careers, and all their passions with success and intensity.  Students are asked to try new things, take calculated risks, and gain an appreciation for something new and different.  Theater is a key piece of that plan to develop “the whole child”.

Theater provides GMVS students with another venue to perform at their highest level and achieve their personal best. One child’s personal best might be as the lead in the play; another might simply face the fear of being on stage and speaking a line. Regardless, the theater program enhances the sense of community amongst the entire GMVS family- students, families, teachers, coaches, local businesses and residents.

Instruction is provided in dance, voice, performance, sound, and set design.
