Participants from GMVS included (and in picture order): Jack Bates(coach), Katie Queally '17, Maddie Davis '17, Aedan Chiari '18, Megan Monette (coach), Hannah Utter '17. Chauncey Morgan ‘17 was invited but could not attend.
Athletes participated in a variety of activities including games, agility mountain biking and physical assessments.
USSA Eastern Youth Competition and Development Manager and GMVS graduate, Alex Krebs ’95 ran the project. Alex said, “In addition to our busy [training] schedule we also had Olympic bronze medalist Andrew Weibrecht take some time out of his day to do a Q & A with the athletes. The athletes had some really great questions for Andrew and got a bit of a perspective of how hard he works on a daily basis to be where he is right now. It was also great for the athletes to be surrounded by Olympic medalists, World Champions and other National Teamsports members and watch how they train, rest and take nutrition seriously.”
