Green Mountain Valley School has Comprehensive Training Partnership with U.S. Ski Team

Green Mountain Valley School (GMVS) has a comprehensive training partnership with the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) that designates GMVS as both a U.S. Ski Team Development Site, and as a U.S. Ski Team High Performance Center. AJ Ginnis '11 Earns his First World Cup Points

Colin returns to his native Vermont from the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation (SVSEF), where he was the Gold Team Head Coach for five years. The Gold Team is a professional cross-country ski racing team that offers year round programming for elite athletes to compete and achieve internationally. GMVS Names Tracy Keller New Head of School

Green Mountain Valley School (GMVS) has announced that Tracy Keller, current Head of Sugar Bowl Ski Team and Academy, will serve as GMVS’s next Head of School. Born and raised in Rutland, VT, Tracy attended Dartmouth College, where she served as captain of the alpine ski team before graduating in 2002. David has more than 25 years of experience on Broadway and also competed through college as a high-level ski racer. Ben Ritchie wins Golden Ski Award

Each season, the North American Snowsports Journalists Association- East awards the Don A. Metivier Golden Ski Award to the most promising male and female junior alpine racers in the Eastern U.S. This year's male winner is GMVS U16 Ben Ritchie.Ritchie was the U16 National overall champion, placing second in super-G, second in giant slalom and first in slalom. In the super-G race, where he started in 38th position, he jumped all the way to a silver medal finish, a truly Herculian effort. Ben Ritchie wins Silver at Longines Future Champions Race

Congratulations to GMVS U16, Ben Ritchie, for his amazing silver medal finish in the Longines Future Champions Race in San Moritz, Switzerland. Ben was the single U16 boy chosen to represent the United States. He raced a Giant Slalom  on a portion of the World Cup trail in San Moritz, Switzerland, with representatives from 14 other countries. GMVS Senior Ali Nullmeyer Wins Silver at Youth Olympic Games

GMVS senior Ali Nullmeyer won the silver medal in the ladies' slalom at the Youth Olympic Games in Norway. Representing her home country of Canada, Ali was sitting in third after her first run but a strong second run put her into second place. GMVS Announces Headmaster Dave Gavett's Retirement

GMVS Student- Athletes honored by VARA

Green Mountain Valley School (www.gmvs.org) announces that current student-athletes Chauncey Morgan, Ben Ritchie and Hannah Utter were all honored at the VARA (Vermont Alpine Racing Association) banquet on October 24th.  Morgan and Utter earned spots on the 2016 VARA Team for being both U16 VARA State Overall Champions and Gold Medalists at the U16 Eastern Championships. Green Mountain Valley School Reshapes Nordic Program

July 8,2015- Fayston, VT- Green Mountain Valley School announced today that Scott Kennison will officially join the ski academy as Head Equipment Manager on August 1. Scott comes to GMVS with an impressive ski racing and coaching resume.
