Cathy majored in French at Arizona State University and took classes in France at the Université de Lyon II.  She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Secondary Education at the State University of New York at Albany.  Before coming to GMVS, Cathy taught French in the Schoharie Central School District where she reinvigorated the French program and developed a curriculum based on NY state and National Standards for Foreign Language.  A graduate of the Rassias Foundation’s Accelerated Language Program at Dartmouth College, Cathy brings with her an enthusiasm for linguistics and culturally-based learning.
